FAQ's:
-Rocky Point is in the "free zone" in northern Mexico so traveling there is easy.
-Do purchase Mexican auto insurance. This is required by law.
This can be purchased on the way down at numerous places or on-line in many places. We purchase it on-line because you can print a couple of copies and keep one in the car and one in the condo.
-If you are trailering other vehicles; jet skis, dune buggies, boats, bring the title. Boats require a seperate permit and you need additional insurance for the trailor.
-You will have no trouble bringing things that you would normally take on vacation (see complete list below). If you bring additional merchandise stop and declare it before passing through the border.
-Pets are not allowed in the Pinacate Resort.
-US dollars are accepted nearly everywhere in Rocky Point. Many places also take credit cards and you will receive a better exchange rate if you use them.
-Bring proof of US citizenship (passport, birth certificate) to re-enter the US. Passport requirements are still on hold, though if you go frequently you should consider getting them now.

Pinacate Condos: "What a perfect get a way"
Just got back from Rocky Point, what a great trip, we stayed at the Pinacates. It was so nice to be able to walk to breakfast lunch and dinner, we also were able to ride the 4 wheelers and shop all in one place. Going down to the beach was great as well. I will defintly be back!
Pinacate Condos: "Best Kept Secret"
Rocky point is the best kept secret in the southwestern United States and the Condos Pinacate are the best kept secret in Rocky Point. These condos are the best because of their location. They offer everything that the other condos offer, but these condos are in the heart of Rocky Point. From the Pinacate I could walk anywhere. The Pinacate is next to Calle 13 (13th Street) and this is a street of a lot of action during the day, but particulary at night. This street comes to life with people, lights, music and food. From my condo I can walk virtually across the street and have a blast - or stay in and watch the sunset on the ocean from my balcony in the condo. What a great resort!!!
Pinacate Condos: "Beautiful Condo"
We especially loved that the master bedroom ...with a jacuzzi tub on the large balcony. The people were great, and we walked to almost everything. I liked this location much better than Sandy Beach where we stayed last time. It is more local to restaurants, etc. They even had free satelite TV with Pay Per View (my hubby liked that part). We can't wait to go back, and we probably won't wait a whole year.
Pinacate Condos: "Excellent Experience"
Nice property. Clean. View of the beach. Multiple swimming pools, pristine blue. Guarded parking lot. Clean room. Great place to bring the family or just a romantic getaway. It's not as isolated as the other resorts. There's plenty of things to do right outside the condo. I've stayed at other "hotels" in Rocky Point and didn't like the high school / college party crowd. Highly recommended. I'll be back.
